Why I hate busting open slabs....

Especially GAI with those overlapped seals.....look at my result here nice card not as nice now....at least it was a fairly inexpensive mistake DOH!

    Next time you have to break a GAI slab:
    Hold in palm of hand. Put pinky and ring finger around bottom left corner. Grip semi firmly. Take your your thumb on your right hand and
    place on top left corner. Take your pointer/index/nose picker(what ever it is called in your next of the woods) and wrap around back grabbing the top back right corner. Hold upright in your hands and twist until you hear a pop. its called figure 8 method and it works like charm and its fun.

  • I used a screwdriver to play open the case (after using a plier to crack a corner open). In doing so, I've been successful in about 100 cards. With one just a couple of days ago, I shoved the screwdriver into the case too hard, and it went right through and gash the back fo the card, about a half-inch long gash, with paper coming out. Argh. It was a SGC 4 1933 Goudey Willie Kamm. I said good-bye to it, and dumped into my "horrible condition, ungraded" box.
