My Best Submission Ever!!!

If the collectors of these cards knew how cheaply I bought these items raw (and haggled w/ the price), they'd want me dead. A very strong submission; statistically and financially my most successful. The Sosa & Juan are incredibly hard to get in a 10 and they're both SPs. PSA 9's of Juan routinely sell for >$500. Then the Henderson, Brett, Mattingly, Bo, Raffy, etc. Well, my day is made.

Did anyone see the article about '93 REFs in the 10/05 issue of SMR? Just got mine today. Excellent article that referred to this set as the '52 Topps of my generation. Can't say I disagree.................

I would have agreed that the '93 Finest refractors were this generation's '52 Topps - until the flood gates opened up on '93 refractors the last year or so.

With hundreds of slabbed and raw '93 refractors hitting the market EVERY WEEK, it's not even a challenge to put together a set any longer. Just keep searching on Ebay and you should be able to accumulate a set quickly; if you want to spend the money. As for PSA 8s, 9s and 10s, anyone who pays attention to the set will know it's just a question of which grader you get on that particular day. Anyone who is crazy enough to pay $400-$1000 for a common PSA 10 is really just doing so because of the Set Registry.

Dsl must have taken notice of these threads. He was the high bidder on a 93 finest set a week or two ago.

Careful, jm, you're creating competition for yourself. image

just curious, what service level did you submit those under? I notice you got them back in 2 days? I have several submissions in right now. I hope mine come back in 2 days! image
  • No worries here. I'm 25 with a fabulous set already compiled. The more competition, the better!
