Interestingly, while enjoying a beautiful family, his coin and other interests, I believe Wondercoin is happy providing us less of his time, therefore, less of his knowledge and insight. This is unfortunate for us. However, I suspect that, with the incredible gain of general and specific intellect and intelligence seen upon this forum, a portion of his thoughtfulness will be duplicated by others. Personally, I miss his input also.
David: When your Silver quarter set pulled within 1/100 of a point of mine, I figured it was time to chat less and work harder at adding a coin or two to my collection
All kidding aside, I have actually been "pulling a Datentype" of late and reviewing thousands of raw coins from mostly 1970's Mint Sets and working hard on the MS clad quarter set.
My friend and Webmaster for (2) of my (3) Websites passed away recently and until his duties are taken over, I have simply been operating with just the www.wondercoins.com website for a good part of the Summer.

P.S. Registrycoin - Don't worry - I won't stop bothering you with personal discussion now that you have become MR EAGLE!!
RC: I know this will not surprise you, but, it sure as heck surprised me. One of the MOST CLASSIC of all classic coin dealers informed me today that he had just decided to build, not (1), but (2) $50 PCGS-MS70 Gold Eagle Registry sets. Enjoy your relatively competitive-free "wild adventure" while you still can (but the Gold and Platinum collectors may be comin around the turn!)

This is not surprising to me, and I appreciate any additional competition and comraderie. I have enjoyed great friendships and education in each of the classic coin collection "competitions" I have been involved in, and look forward to others. Throughout all the negative comments from classic collectors about "modern crap", I have tried patiently to educate those willing to understand. I am glad that some coin collectors have "looked, listened and learned". Watch out, those who have blinders.

Mitch that is very brave of you! The 70's are not pretty mint sets to look over. Very rarely have i found anthing in those dates to make any money on. The pennies and nickles are generally no good, last i checked they were not handing out FB grades on Roosies and the kennedy's are far and few between in high grade. I guess the quarters are the best coins from the 70's sets overall IMO.

That sounds more like a possible future episode for the Sci-Fi TV show "Scare Tactics"

There were lots of great dimes in those sets too.
While quality cents and nickels are very few and far between, generally these sets still contain the very best.
