Glut of 1955 Topps All American on the market??

I have seen a lot more of these cards showing up on ebay raw and graded. A slight increase in them at the last Hollywood Park show too. But this past month, I have seen at least three complete sets on Ebay, after months and months of nothing much bigger than a 50% partial set. Is there a glut of them now? People just unloading the closet? Seems like the prices are being deflated a little too.
Running an Ebay store sure takes a lot more time than a person would think!

I'd be willing to bet the set has hit saturation. there's seems to be more registered 55aa sets than every other topps set from that decade combined. That popularity also seems to have drawn all the raw stuff out of people's closets. I've seen at least a half dozen full sets sell over the past 6 months....at ridiculously high prices, always over $3500 just for the vg+ sets. because of the inflated prices of vg-ex sets i think a lot of people have seen "the light." you can cheaply and easily build a low grade set, talk it up, and turn over a quick profit...then it seems like the next guy realizes he's a sucker and turns around and dumps it back on the market...and the cycle continues. Factor in there's over 15k psa graded 55aa's along with the glut of low grade raw, and i think that abundance of cards creates the deflated prices. Except for primarily PSA8+ cards, I think that set has hit its peak.

I built half the set with a psa average of 6+ for less than $1k. if i had a little more free time and more free cash i would jump at finishing the set and flipping it!

yeah good point, I probably spent more than you have to finish you set. Mine isn't ranked as high, but I wasn't very patient on building it.

I know it's a popular set, but the quantity on the market seems to be growing all the time. Maybe it is just people buy and flipping and making a profit. Of course with grading and ebay fees, not sure how much of a profit can really be made, at least per hourimage lol
