Good gold coin dealers

I decided to try the darkside for awhile.
I want to purchase a few gold coins close to melt if possible or with small premium over spot.
Can someone give me the names of dealers I might look at. I am open to all world type.
Thank you very much
Rob

Have you bought from these guys before? If so, would you know how their BU looks?

They have a few I'd like to get but I've heard other gold dealers can be notorious for fudging the grade. Hoping these guys are good image
  • I have bought from them, but it was an odd situation. Every few weeks I suck their price sheet into Excel to calculate how much over spot they are charging. Every so often they are selling below spot. Don't ask why. So I picked up 20 coins from the late 1800's and sold them to the gold/silver coin store in town, and made a couple bucks.
I wasn't really concerned with how the coins looked in this case, so I would be a bad person to answer, but the service was really good.

  • Has anyone seen the full page ads in the Canadian newspapers for a US company selling US $5 coins (1/10 oz) for $48? The headline was something like "buy before gold reaches $1500 an ounce". I think it was called US coin and bullion direct or something like that. It seemed strange that the ad was substantially less than kitco...is it a scam?
  • the name is US Rare Coin and Bullion Reserve.

I always had excellent service from Ed Lee, who also can get you bullion.

Are you saying that you bought those from the US Rare Coin and Bullion Reserve?
If so, where are they actually located?
    thanks.
