Are mastro's auctions ending way too low? One glaring example so far is this, which is the second finest '64 Giants set. Some of the sets from yesterday seemed to go low too, including this (58 topps set) and this (60 topps set).
Never thought I'd be saying this about stuff on Mastro.
I got sniped tonight on the Bazooka lot 1298... it sucked because the auction was closed right before I could get back to even have a chance to enter another bid. It's a pretty speculative lot though, a lot of the cards in it are total junk. Still, I would have been pretty happy if I could have won it for $2400, although I doubt I would have paid $2900 which is what the next bid increment would have taken it to.
Wow, that '64 Giants set did go very low. But there were plenty of other lots that went very high. Overall, as a buyer I liked the new rules on bidding, but think it cost some bids. Probably threw a few people off, and I know of some that were boycotting entirely due to the buyers penalty hike.
Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's
