Larry Fritsch Unopened ???

I might have missed it but can anyone fill me in on the status of the the Larry Fritsch unopened material he was supposedly offering quotes on? Did anyone ever buy anything? Did he ever actually send prices? What happened with that??
Thanks

As far as I know,no one has heard from him.I know I haven't.I am guessing that he was just "fishing".

Please be kind to me. Even though I'm now a former postal employee, I'm still capable of snapping at any time.
  • Vic,
    Thanks
  • I asked about unopened hockey early seventies and got the generic email response from Alan that most got. On 08-10-05 I emailed him again and asked how he was doing on those prices. I think 14 days had passed.....No response.

Very poor business tactics by the Fritsch gang. I know it wouldn't take me two weeks to respond to buyers looking to spend possibly thousands of dollars. Especially if I had put an add in SCD to generate the interest in the product.

If they replied with prices now I think my response would be.....No response.

I don't know Steve, judging from his size, I think he's been eating them!

Maybe he doesn't have the material, but knows someone who does. In affect "presell" before he invested any money. Just a spin on it.

In this weeks SCD Ryan from Wax From The Past has an ad where he purchased over 708,000.00 in unopened stuff from a person who lives in Stevens Point just like where Larry lives. They picture the guy in the ad...its not really clear if he is the one who sold it..or just a friend of Ryans. Maybe this guy is working for Larry.
  • Well I emailed him a second time and was told they were still getting the info together so who knows. Doesn't seem real serious about selling.

Getting the info together? Either you want to sell the cards, or you don't. If you want to sell the cards, you should have some idea what you are looking to get for them. This whole "not a sale" concept is going to cause a lot of collectors to be turned off to dealing with him - on anything.

  • I agree. It seems like a lot of game playing to me.
  • The term "yanking your chain" has never been more applicable.

I guess it's taken Larry 30 years to get the info together....
