Anyone know why this is?

I've seen several auctions by Taiwan sellers stating they will not sell to Taiwan buyers. Is it fee/tax related? Anyone know?

Maybe they dont want people who are close enought to hunt them down if they send a poorly represented product.
IT IS ALWAYS CHEAPER TO NOT SELL ON EBAY
  • That's what makes me suspicious. All these high dollar cards are usually the ones they won't sell to Taiwan.image

They probably also won't sell to anyone who plans to visit Taiwan in the near future.
  • The thing is, one of the sellers was selling a card I sold to him. That's what made me wonder what exactly is going on.
  • ask them and see what they say. maybe it's a tax reason - is it possible Taiwan charges a huge tax for sales in the country, but no tax if sold outside of the country? possibly. I don't know, but if I was interested in the item, I would email the seller, and then try to confirm what he said. Maybe call the Taiwan consulate or something. Well, that's all if I want or need the item real bad. Of course, you also have to make sure the ebay feedback is good - if it's less than 25, I wouldn't bother. if it's less than 99% positive, I wouldn't bother either.
