BBCKid MIA?

Has anyone been able to access BBCKid web-site?

Ordered a dozen 79-80 hockey wax packs the other day, and haven't been able to view status of order.

I got tired of them not having anything new, so I hardly ever go there anymore. Seems like it has been the same old thing for a year now.

  • Stingray, I'll probably bust 'em. Oh, I've tried to hold on to them, but I'm like a little kid on Christmas morning. Nothing but wrappers all over the place.

  • Greg - you are correct about Steve at BBCE. Had the pleasure to deal with him at the National and very nice to deal with and great stuff as well. Word has it that the BBCKid had another fire and his inventory is pretty much done. One fire is a tragedy two fires is.....

Another fire! Didn't figure lightning would strike twice in the same place. Ouch.

When I was a kid, I'd rip through a box of wax packs and toss the wrappers on the floor of my room (I liked how they smelled, I was weird, guess I still am). Dad would get mad and make me clean it up, saying that I was creating a fire hazard. Never stared a fire though.

  • Where did you guys read that he had another fire? Is this really true? If so, what a weird situation to be in. How do you explain that to your insurance company?

  • His site has been flat for awhile. The BBCexchange clearly overtook him as one of the leaders in the wax business.

Hope he gets back up soon.

He was a no-show at The National. Booth was there with his name, but was empty. I don't know what the deal is.

Just emailed him. No fire. He's just having problems with his website.

  • Yeah but that's a recent problem. He has not really been the factor over the last year. Website has been bare and does he even sell on Ebay anymore??

I'd been wondering about Mark Murphy myself (BBCKid). Steve Hart seems to have overtaken him, certainly helped by all of you guys on this board mentioning his name quite often.
