Hunt Auctions Question

Hi, i have never bid ona Hunt auctions auction before. I am going to place a bid, but i am wondering how i would know if i am the winning bidder?

there site does not look like it tracks bidding live, so i am wondering if they post winning amouints after the auction has ended, or would i get an email?

Thanks

  • Live is usually by phone. They only take absentee bids via email........
  • If its the internet auction, you need a bidder name and password..
  • ok, i placed a bid online and i got the confirmation email, but the site does not reflect my bid.. so my question is.. how will i know if i am the high bidder?

does hunt post auction results on their site after the auction?
  • You can check after the auction is over which will be quicker than the "winners" email....
  • After you have logged on, click the "My Account" link from the internet/phone auction main page. It will list all your bids and if the current bid price is in green, you are the high bidder. If it is in red you've been outbid. You'll also receive a notification if you et outbid. Hope this helps! image

  • i did not register with the site, i placed a bid from their bid sheet, and it just took down my max bid, and my credit card number.. i just tried to log on, but i can't since i never registered.. but i did place a bid.. i got the email confirmation..

    is this right?
  • Emails bids for the live auctions are different then the Internet auctions. You dont need a bidder or account number....

I have 10 X 10 storage room filled with 70s and 80s "odd ball" topps baseball cases that I won from Hunt a couple of years ago. They contracted with a local "pack n' ship" store to send me my cases (i.e., via UPS), "...without a hitch".

I almost got thrown out of the house, as our living room looked like a Topps warehouse. Thank God for storage rooms. I figured if I wait another 10 years to sell the cases, I'll wind-up "breaking even" with 12 years' storage costs! LOL!

    I like Hunt Auctions!
