Its got to be some kind of joke. Who's going to pay $3,500,000 for a counter stamped cent from a 0 feedback seller?

In conclusion, my family and I have figured that the mint made a lot of these coins for some political or public relations reasons. But, for some reason gave one or more away and the others were perhaps destroyed. I’ve lived in Denver all my life and I’ve never heard of such a thing. But again it lives. Please challenge us.
A little strong of an auction for the guy's feedback. Don't think I would spend $3.50 for it. Wonder what he would let it go for? After all , it can't be explained, but it exists!

I offered him 2 mil but he said he would hold out for the 3.5 mil. damn, almost had a real rarity. maybe I should put in a 3.5 mil bid to make his heart jump for a lil bit then retract it. lol.
<< <i>True, this is one goofy a$$ed auction and I guess if your gonna put in your token bids, might I suggest running it up to about 70 million! >>
I would, just to make him pay an enormous FVF then wait a week to get it back, but I might get a NPB strike =( It's tempting though--he'd have a $1,050,000 final value fee
I heard they were making a French version of Medal of Honor. I wonder how many hotkeys it'll have for "surrender."

That is what I though Thiggy was doing...until I noticed the RNM.
I looked at dthigpen's history - the last feedback left for him was postive from somebody who paid $52.00 for a highly circulated 1966 quarter that "Elvis may have passed."

Do the eBay rules allow a seller to reduce his reserve?

????? Whoever is bidding on the coin..... aren't you/they kind of playing with fire???
I mean.... isn't there a LEGAL contract/responsibility when you place a bid?? If you trip the reserve amount, aren't you then responsible for the amount?? I know it's fun to be doing this for a 50 cent token coin, but whoever is bidding sure has a stronger nerve than I do. The seller has this item.... clueless as they are.... or bogus as they are.... but they have the item, and someone is placing bids on it. If I were the seller, and someone won it for 5 million, but wouldn't pay....I would probably be finding a good lawyer to help collect what I could......!!!
Or did someone on the forum list this just for a fun game??

Shouldn't there be a "comedy" auction category on ebay?

My my my... How greedy of him to hold out for $4 million.
He could have had sold it for more than $3.5 million. Alas, a profit that should exist, but somehow does NOT.
