%@#&! Ebay...

What is it with all of the [CENSORED] "RARE PROOF CROWN COPY" and "UNIQUE BLAHBLAHBLAH COPY" and other fecal matter littering the World Coins category? You can't swing a dead cat without hitting several of them starting each and every day. They proliferate worse than maggots on roadkill, fer chrissake! And I love all of the modern "essais" and "patterns" that in reality are nothing but counterfeits (I thought Ebay had a policy with respect to copies having to have the word "COPY" clearly marked on the coin?).

BLEAGH. I swear only 50% of the listings are for actual coins (no, triple-layered gold-plated "NAZI SWASTIKA COINZ" do NOT count).

*grumble*

*kicks cat*

P.S. It's not just in coins. I frequent the stamps categories as well as brass instruments, and there's just loads of crap and scams EVERYWHERE. The signal-to-noise ratio on Ebay is at a staggering alltime low... image

image that the gold plated Nazi stuff doesn't count as "actual coins." image I am working on a set of all 3rd Reich 2 & 5 Mark coins (all types, dates and mints; very tough set, especially in Unc. - there are about 100 of 'em) and I am tired of wading through the gold plated junk to find the nice coins. Also tiresome are the so called "restrike" German Thalers (Restrikes my butt, they're cheap modern replicas, nothing more), usually offered by German sellers. Unfortunately, this junk makes money for ebay, so I think we're stuck with it. - Preussen

  • One positive note: At least they are marked as copies and not passed off as originals!

    Cats are very useful.

Some conserve electricity by turning off the lights.

Others soak up any excess water that might be in the bathroom sink.

I see some disturbing anticat statements here. Apparently he DID kick the cat. Hard. And then swung it around. image
