Sheet Cutting Over at Beckett? It just can't be!

Link

If he deals with Beckett, I think he ought to cut the sheet, because Beckett would probably grade them. I just thought that to be awful ironic that this question was posed on the BECKETT boards.

No, I'm not a member, but do look every now and then.

Since he doesn't have a picture I am assuming it is one of "us" trying to bring out the dark side of the Beckett people!? FAKE!

This is not considered a bad thing over in Beckett-Land. BGS freely and openly grades sheet-cut cards (a fair number of trimmed cards, too, some say, but that's another discussion).

A standard business practice for some Beckett dealers is to buy or create 50-count stacks of sheet-cut whatever with the idea of getting 10 them back as BGS 9.5's and the rest 9's and 8.5's. That was last year. Since the new owner took over Beckett and grading standards were dropped, it's probably more like five BGS 10's, about 30 BGS 9.5's, and the rest 9's.
