I just got back the results from a couple of small submissions for some 1950's cards. Just got the grades, but have not received the cards yet.
Except for the 1956 Topps Checklist 1/3, which I thought probably wouild get a 6, I thought the rest would get 7's and 8's. A couple turned out even better. I will have to check the 1955 Bowman #195 when I get it back because my notes said the card I sent in was the "Traded Line on Back" variety.

I did some checking on the pop reports for the cards I listed. When I first got the results, there were no 9's listed for the 1956 Topps #177. There is one in the pop charts now. Can I assume that 9 listed there is mine and I have a 1 of 1? I guess I could wait a few days to see if another one is added. Even if it is a 1 of 2, I am very happy with that. I would be ecstatic if it is a 1 of 1. The 1956 Topps #95 in PSA 9 is also either a 1 of 1 or a 1 of 2. Needless to say, either way I am popping my buttons.

<< <i>I could be wrong but I think your 59 Del Rice is a monster of a card. Nice Sub!! >>
You aren't wrong....that is one of the five toughest cards and the lowest pop card in the entire 1959 Topps baseball set. If you decide to ebay it, it would fetch $400-$500.

<< <i>I have been looking for a decently centered 55 Bowman 153 Eddie Robinson in 7 or 8 on ebay for a long time. I got this one raw in ebay and am quite pleased I got a 7. The #48 and #157 in a grade of 8 have gotten very expensive. If the #195 Pilaca card is the traded version, which I think it is, then that completes all the varieties in a grade of 7 or 8. I spent several years finding nicely centered versions in those grades. >>
I would love to see a picture of the #153 Eddie Robinson PSA 7. If you're interested in selling, please shoot me an e-mail at mschoenen@mba2005.hbs.edu
I have a few PSA 7s of the card and am always looking to upgrade. I like to compare the 7s that I have and see what's out there.
