Would You?

bid on this?

55 Koufax

I think with no scan this might go for around the opening bid which could be a steal. Looking at his feedback, he's bought a lot of cards but hasn't sold anything. No paypal either. Something makes me want to take a chance. Thanks.

  • i took a chance on a schmidt psa 7 with no scan once. Got the card at a good price. Turned out the card was perfectly centered and is a beautiful example of a psa 7.

The guy seems legit. Before you take a chance, ask the guy questions about the card (centering, any qualifiers) and if he'll take a refund if not satisfied.

absolutely..... ask questions from the buyer, check his feedback, and weigh the pros and cons.

i suck, i recently bought a box of 1984 topps cellos, no picture in description mind you and most of the cards were friggin bent in some wiggly fashion.

    I'm with you Gemmy.

This is the 21st century....you would think everyone would want one...especially if one is going to sell on ebay?

On the scanning - a guy who sells thousands of lots a year told me with buck cards, there's no time to scan, it's quicker to take a dig. pic and upload them.

I bought a great Visioneer scanner on eBay for $49 which included delivery. They are dirt cheap with great quality scanning.

He does have a 55 Ed Roebuck PSA 7OC with no scan either but he did indicate that it has a qualifier so he seems honest in that respect.

It might be worth taking a chance but I prefer to see a pic or scan.
