Washington Quarters Market Assessment

I have been watching the population reports and general trends in the Washington Quarters market. I believe that the Omaha Hoard has been absorbed and what is left is merely lower grade coins. The 1941 through 1948 populations did grow quite rapidly especially in some prior mints and dates that were thought to be much more rare including the 1943-S. But once again the market took the hit and absorb it. If you look at this months Coin Dealer Newsletter "Greysheet Monthly" you will see tons of up moves, more then any series. Last week a massive amount of 1930's coins were graded including some high end 32s and d in large quantity and all key dates and the market is bidding up to buy these coins and others. I will say that washington quarters will have one of the highest growth in appreciation of any series over the next two years and when next years pass and as come closer and closer to closing out the state programs it will almost be feverish. Look at the amount of registry sets there are in this series. Try to find another series that has this much interest.
Any body sitting back and waiting for lower prices will be left in the dust in my opinion. I am a strong buyer and will continue to be especially coins that I feel are completely undervalued like the 1932 in MS64 and above and 1937-D, 1936-S, 1937-S and 1934-D especially the heavy mottos in 34-D and 34. The 52-D, 53-D 54-D are selling at crazy prices. Look at the population report on these coins. 1942, 1945, 1946 are others that should be bought in quanitity for investment purposes. The 1942 having the highest population minted but no one saved them for this reason in high mint state. I have tried for the last three years to find a quality roll of 1942 Washingtons. All I find are choice rolls no gem rolls.
Others thoughts would be most appreciated. Just wanting to start a topic and see what kind of posts we get.
The 1932-S MS64 jumped yet again to 2350 by 2550. Amazing appreciation and you have not seen anything yet in my opinion.

are a lot of new collectors for these all the time and more and more will be revealed to be
in short supply.
Agreed with most of your posting.
I have not been able to locate a 1930's gem washington quarter roll in over a year other than the ever present 1939-P's and an ocassional 1934-P. Sure, I have seen some put together rolls of the 1935-S and 1932-P's that I had to turn down but not much else anymore.
I seem to recall the 1942-P Choice/Gem BU quarter roll was the most common P mint roll of the 1940's. In fact, I kept trying to buy all the 1943-P Choice/Gem BU rolls from Bob Z. I could some years ago rather than the 1942-P's.
How are the grades coming on these key coins?
Is it time to resubmit my 32-s in 65 that is PQ for the grade?
What about my PQ 32-d in 64?
I am also a very big fan of the silver varieties - many of the Doubled Dies and over-mintmarks are really cool coins. If you check the Registry for silver quarter variety collectors, you will also see that it is still a very doable project to build a "top 5" (or even a "top 3") silver Wash quarter variety collection at this point - this is not always the case with other popular early to mid 20th century series.
Wondercoin
This is true. I have done literally nothing with my Washington variety set for 2 years, and am still #6. With the addition of the 1934 heavy mottoes, I'm now missing 5 coins.
