whenever i sell raw cards, even modern ones that are MINT or better, i describe them as NM/MINT just to give some room..

that scan does look nice.. could be bigger, though..

The scan isn't large enough for me to make a determination of the grade - I agree the scan looks good.

But, in deference to the seller, he does grade it Nm or Nm+...sounds like an honest guy to me?

Thanks I wanted to get your opinions before I blew any more cash on this guys auctions, I also thought that he was probably undergrading them for ebay selling purposes. He also has several cards of multiple lots where the cards are fanned out, And I dont see any way he could have doctored those. I did e-mail twice to ask for a larger scan and the condition of the cards but got no response yet. I guess I will just have to chance it ..

What does the card book for in Nm condition.

BTW, I had to edit my post - I meant to say, the scan ISN'T large enough for me to tell whether it's Nm or Nmmt e.g.

If it looks like a good buy? Then, good luck - if you get it graded - please post the results.

Even if you blow it up, the resolution may not be what you want.

On the positive side, the guy is a power seller with a great FB and doesn't deal, at least this time, in graded cards.

That could potentially rule out the idea: if it were that good, why not get it graded yourself before ebaying.

    good luck

I've bought raw stuff from that seller before and was generally quite pleased with the cards. The great majority of the cards were accurately or even conservatively graded. The only quasi-vintage card on which I ever landed a PSA 9 (a '68-69 OPC Rod Gilbert) came from aarons. As you said, he often has multiples of the same card, sometimes within a single listing but I think he also sometimes uses a generic scan of a given card and then has separate auctions for the multiples. Even so, I think you'll still generally do well buying raw from him.
