Me and MrsSpud have been starting to become attracted to Exonumia relating to Expositions, Exhibitions and World Fairs. Here are some pictures of our recent aquisitions. We don't know much about these items, except that we like them. I'm not sure if they are rare or not and I am not even sure if all of them are genuine. Anybody know of any good books on the topic se we can educate ourselves? I am going to cross post this on both the US Coin Forum and on the World coin forum because there are both ones from the US and from other countries, I hope no one minds. Thanks for looking

I don't know of any books (not because there aren't any, I'm just lazy!), and it can often be a pain finding info online, but there are a few really good websites that I've found specializing in info on expos of all sorts. I'll have to dig those links up. Another neat thing about these is that sometimes you can find them with the original paper envelope of issue (something we often don't really consider, expecting coins to come in clamshell cases, etc) and with flyers, etc.

I've always been tempted by expo medallions. I have to limit myself to colonial fairs to keep from going broke
