New from NEN and an update on my Swiss type set album.

This is only my second purchase from them, it would have been the third if a Greek 1833 2L PCGS MS65RB marked as new, wasn't already sold! ![image](https://us.v-cdn.net/6027503/uploads/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif)

It's for my album, which means I'll crack it out, Sylvestius would you like to give me a hand?![image](https://us.v-cdn.net/6027503/uploads/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif)
So, this is the complete update on my new Swiss Dansco album,
a more challenging project than I initially thought,
but to which I'm grateful nevertheless,
for the many happy hunting hours.
So far, these slots have been filled ,or the coins are litterally on their way:
1 rappen:all bronze except the wartime zinc issues
1850-51 choice unc brown
1853-1941 choice specimen red 1933
1942-46 BU zinc 1944
1948- gem BU red 1968
2 rappen:all bronze except the wartime zinc issues
1850-65 choice XF 1850
1865-1941 BU 80% red 1933
1942-46 AU/UNC 1944 (zinc)
1948- gem BU red 1969
5 rappen
1850-51 AU/UNC 1850 (billon)
1871-76 AU 1874 (billon)
1879- BU 1962 (cu-ni)
1918 UNC 1918 (brass)
1932-41 AU/UNC but lightly cleaned 1934 (nickel) --->needs upgrade
10rappen
1850-51 NGC MS64 1850 will soon be raw (pictured)-(billon)
1871-78 AU 1873 (billon)
1879- BU 1952 (cu-ni)
1918 VF-XF 1918 (brass)----->needs upgrade
1932-39 empty (nickel)
20rappen
1850-51 empty, (billon) currently competing for an AU/UNC, chances are slim,
1858-59 VF 1859 (billon) ----->another upgrade candidate
1881-1938 BU 1920 (nickel)
1939- 1965 BU (cu-ni)
1/2 fr (only two slots)
1850-51 empty- I have a lowball bid in September UBS' auction for a fast FDC
1875- 1946 BU (this came with the album from LM, ajaan pedigree I believe, might replace it with a 1955 specimen)
1 fr
the 1 and 2 francs have 3 slots each, two of which are devoted to Seated Helvetia, due to a change of mintmark,
and only one to the standing Helvetia despite the many changes in composition, number of stars etc.IMHO, unfair.
So, I'm thinking of placing a sticker and transforming the second Seated slot to a Standing one,
either with the Cu-ni coins after 1970, or with a specimen. Still thinking about it, ideas are welcome.
Regarding the first slot, I own two slabbed coins, a 1850 PCGS MS66 and a 1861 PCGS MS65,
but I need something less fancy for the album. So it's empty for the time being.
The other slot has a 1956 BU ,but I'm tempted to put an early and more valuable date,
such as a nice 1916 that I have laying around, unsold remaining from the recent weekend swaps.
1850-51 empty
1857-61 empty, will be renamed to SP slot
1874- BU 1956
2 frs
The shame of the album, all three slots are empty, well the 1965 is on its way.
1850 empty
1857-63 empty ,will be renamed to SP
1874- 1965 gem BU
5 frs all silver
Again, two slots are provided for the Seated design and Swiss fivers are expensive in high grades.
One of the challenges I've set, is that I don't want any coins below AU if possible,
with an average tending more towards unc/bu. Some vf/xf coins that figure on the list,
are just temporary fillers,nothing permanent.
1850-51 -empty
1873-74 -empty
1888-1916 -empty
1922-23 BU 1923
1924-28 UNC but dull 1925 (perhaps some very old and light cleaning?)
1931- gem BU 1967
Commemorative 5 francs
1936 Armament BU
1939 Zurich BU
1939 Laupen BU
1941 Confederation BU
1944 St Jakob BU
1948 Constitution BU
1963 Red Cross BU
The last coin was also included in the album, from Aethelred's shop I believe. A magnificent raw MS67 quality,
which I decided that it should be slabbed and resold
, and replaced it with one of MS63/64 quality ,similar to the rest of the set.
The rest of my Swiss collection is PCGS slabbed ,mostly 1 francs and rappens, and a post 1940 1 franc daterun in BU.

That was a gemmy one for sure. 66 at the very least. It came from Bill Wright's shop in Asheville, where the Dead King works. Dead King was the one who sold it to me and probably the one who put it in the case, since Bill Wright is not known for his love of the Darkside.
Did you get it slabbed? What did it come out at?
I got the album off eBay with a few coins included (mostly 5-R pieces and not too much of it old). The BU 1946 half franc did indeed come from ajaan, and as I recall, it was a gift.
I'm glad you are having fun with that album. It's having more fun with you than it would have with me, as the quality of coins goin' into it are WAY higher.
It looked like fun, but I had too many other things going on.

I just got the results on it: NGC MS67
I'll revive this thread when I'll have the time to scan the pages of the album, it's pretty nice to look at, even if not full yet. Thanks for the nice comments.
