The Yankees played their fifth straight one-run decision. They're 3-2 in that span

It's a Yankee Stadium record. Tino Martinez extended his hitting streak to a season-high 10 games. Axtey, before you open your huge Pie Hole critcizing Tino. On a related note. OJ

Real OJ link. What a schmuck.

What does OJ being a schmuck have to do with the Yanks?

Oh, wait a minute - I get it now.

Just had to get your spam in for the evening, huh Spammy? It's 4:00 AM when you posted and instead of being with your alleged wife and kid(s), you brag about a $200M+ team barely playing over 500 on a chat board.

    Brav-Freakin-O!

    Hey shanty-town,

If the Yankees are barely over .500 what are the Astros?
  • AxtellAxtell Posts: 10,037 ✭✭
How typically spammy. Tino has a 10 game hitting streak? How many home runs? Or is he done with the juice so he can't hit bombs anymore?

Avoiding the question ('why weren't you in bed with your supposed wife') and focusing on another team's supposed shortcomings.

Let's not forget the Astros have less than half the payroll of the spanks, and they have the same record.

Spammy you are the saddest, most pathetic person here.

    << <i>Hey shanty-town,

Nice spin, Spammy. You created a useless thread boasting about a $205,938,439 team being 3-2 in the last 5 games. Woo-hoo!! If I brag about the 'Stros going 3-2 in a five game stretch, please feel free to flame me all you want. I will say that since they started the season at 15-30, they have gone 48-22. After losing Kent and Beltran, we were not expected to do much of anything (especially after the way we started). This is like playing with the house's money...

<< <i>Let's not forget the Astros have less than half the payroll of the spanks, and they have the >>

Actually, it's 37% of their payroll imageSee payroll disparities here

While I would continue to show Spammy the error of his ways, I've got to get ready for some football. My home team, the Houston Texans, start the preseason against Denver. Nothing better than busting out the tailgating gear and firing up the pit; especially for YOUR team. How's "your" team going to fair, Spammy? Oh that's right, you don't have a true home team; only an adopted/bandwangon one. Oh well, I guess good for you!

    MUWAHAHAHAHA!

Oh and edited to add: Spammy, you never answered my original question... If you are married with a kid (or kids), what where you doing on a message board at 4:00 AM? Got kicked out of the bedroom or were you busy with your "true" partner looking at naughty internet pictures?

LOL, I am a light sleeper and had insomia dreaming of the Yankees historic comeback.

    <<team being 3-2 in the last 5 games.>>

That was not the point of my post. The pont is that the Yankees have played in 5 consecutive 1 run games which has never happened in their history. It is better they went 3-2 then 0-5. LOL

So why did you mention more about OJ than the overpaid Yanks?

A $205,938,439 "should" have gone 5-0. As you so eloquently put it:

I find it incredible that you are bragging about being barely about .500 in one run games.

    Wow!

Today's game was actually fun to watch...a blown save by Mariano and Bernie hits a game winning homer!

What more can you ask for....it was everything that 200 million can buy!image

The Yanks will be there come playoff time - will they win it all this year? Who knows...I like baseball because I'm so damn bad at predicting a winner!!!

You are quite funny. At first you criticize me for posting in multiple topics, then I try to consolidate in one topic and you criticize me there.

Yeah, that's some great consolidation you got going on here. How many threads did you create yesterday? I counted at least 3... image
