2005 Heritage Master Set Worth?

Just curious, I am thinking of selling off my Heritage set. I have the master set with all the SPs, a lightback set, a chrome set, the NAPs, the TAN's, and the lightback set.

Would I be better off selling the chrome and light back set seperately, or try to move it all together? And also, what should I reasonable expect to get for the whole batch?

Thanks!

  • That's a quite a collection. I have no idea how much it is. I gave up trying to do a master base set after a few boxes. Guess I should get back on it.

How much do single chrome commons go for?
Running an Ebay store sure takes a lot more time than a person would think!

Chrome commons I found in the $2-$3 range on the bay.

Which year heritage set? If you do a search of "ended" auctions for master sets, you will get an idea.
At this point, sales may be sluggish. The year before sets seem to do well around the time of the release of the new year due to resurgent interest in the product.

My guess? This time of year....300-350? If you're talking about 2004.

    It's a 2005 set.

You might be better off selling the chrome set by itself. It looks like you can get at least 175 for it and probably 350 for the master
set. If you sold it together you might be able to pull 500. Did you ever do the relics set??

  • I agree with Kevin.

    350 w/o the chrome.

    Sell the chrome separately.

I have a lot of 57 chromes ending tonight and it's at $36 now.

Check my auction link below - it may give you a good idea of a price when it ends.

I have the clubhouse and flashbacks about halfway done...I'll probably sell those off as singles. I have a couple no-name autos as well as a group of the /556 refractors (like 10 or so).

I am still contemplating, but will probably list it here before putting it on the bay.

Timely questions, Ax! I just started ripping my 4 boxes of '05 TH. I'm saving the sealed Hobby box for last in hopes I'll find a cut card -- which would pay off all my credit cards from the vacation and then some!

I was curious though if there was a comprehensive price guide available. I'll have to look at the local magazine store's guides tomorrow to find out. After opening a couple boxes so far (while watching the Mariners/Twins games the last 3 nights -- thank goodness the Twins finally pulled one out after I went to bed!), I've got a good start on the base set with a lot of white-backs, 3 TANs (no dupes), 4 NAPs (including 1 dupe), 6 FBs (including 3 dupes) , 6 /1956 Chromes and 1 /566 Chrome (Tejada).

It's great fun ripping open large quantities of packs at one time again. I haven't done this for...let's see...13 years or so?!

Sorry I didn't see the full chrome set!

I agree with Kevin - sell it separately for sure.

A guy sold the Master Set with the light backs for 365$ - not too bad for this time of year.

Ax...let me know who you need out of your relics set, I may be able to help you.

I have been buying some packs off and on, so I have gotten in some more chromes, if anyone needs any, I still haven't pulled the one
    card I am missing

I am also in the process of selling all my singles, if everything goes well this weekend that is 100,000 cards. Of course all my heritage
are staying. I found a few boxes of heritage singles..01 and 02..nice!

I also pulled a Steve Garvey auto ARGG team topps really suck!!

    JoeS,

Which is the card you're missing?! I'm sure it's a rare one, but if I should pull it in my last two boxes, you're welcomed to it...unless it's some high-priced thing. Then it goes up for auction!!

Still better than no pull at all. Keep me in mind - me and Heritage autos are at war!

  • Anybody know ebayer etoppsforlife, first name John, from San Antonio?

I'm out of town and just saw he bought my 57 chromes for $76.

    Stone!

I've got THC33 (Pat Burrell). He's yours! I've still got one more hobby box to open, so I'll let you know if I get 46 a/o 89.

    JoeS,

I don't have NAP Johnson, but, again, if I get it in this next box, it's yours, too.

    Keep your fingers crossed!

My wife and I are driving to Seattle for tomorrow's game against the LAA. We may stay overnight and hit some more antique stores before we come home. Hopefully I'll get to that last box this weekend -- maybe tonight yet. I'll be buying any TH I see along the way to open. I doubt if I'll complete even the base set, but this has been so much fun opening so many packs at once. I had forgotten the thrill it can be!

    Later,

Well I've come to the conclusion I am going to sell off this set. It was fun to assemble, but I really need to focus.
Anyone have a consensus on when the best time to have an auction end? I'm not in a super big rush to get it sold, but just curious what the general feeling is on it.

    Thanks everyone.
