question for Player Registry set collectors

How long did it take for PSA to add a previously unlisted card to a registry set composite?
I believe PSA's official answer is that it could take up to 12 weeks. I'm new to the player set game and was wondering if this was a realistic timeframe or if PSA was being too optimistic or conservative. Any input based on personal experience with trying to get a card added would be appreciated.
Also, does PSA really rely on the person's recommended weight for the card? (i.e. do they have someone not too knowledgable cards assigning the weights based on whatever is recommended?) I've seen some weights that make me wonder how much informed, if any, thought goes into the decision. There doesn't seem to be too much consistency for weights on MSA discs among different player sets.
For example, for the Nolan Ryan Master set, a '76 Wiffle Ball disc is assigned a weight of 3.5 while the Mike Schmidt Master set gives the Schmidt disc from the same set a weight of 1.0. In fact, the overwhelming majority of Schmidt MSA discs from the '76-'77 era have a weight of 1.0 whereas Ryans seem to run in the range of 1.5 to 3.5. I have to admit that I don't collect either player but I don't recall ever hearing that Ryan MSA discs were consistently rarer than Schmidts.

I am waiting on a few since April, I added some more in May and a few more in June, and a few more in July. NADA on all. I am adding around 17 to 20 Carews that are not listed between 67'-86'. Would be nice to at least see a few. I can't believe there can be this many that are not listed to a regular or a Master Set.

On that issue - the Ryan set had a massive overhaul a few months [or was it a year] ago. The Schmidt set has not. Once all the Schmidt cards get added [there may be a few dozen more], I plan to work with the other two or three main Player Set collectors in that set to create an updated weighting system. I just personally don't think it makes sense to pin down card weights now until we have all the cards and everything can be assigned relative to anything else. For example, the Red Barn disc will have a very high weight - it is incredibly difficult to find. Same with Wendy's and one or two others. Some, like the Isaly's, I hope will bump down to 0.5, because a PSA 10 can be had for about $10, they are just that common.

Each time i added a couple, i also added the previous as well. So by the time my last one went to them it had 20 on it. So there is no way they can claim that they never received mine
