Another New Guy...Take it easy on me!!

Just rec'd my password so I can start posting to the boards. I've been around the hobby for about 15 years, seen a lot of changes.
I've also been reading the boards for quite a while now and though I have never been interested in posting, a few of the posts lately have gotten under my skin a little. Hopefully my pesimistic viewpoint will be rec'd will little grief. Most posts are filled with knowledge and very helpful, such being the purpose of the boards. Thanks for your ear, and good luck to you all!

  • Thanks to everyone.

What do I collect? I only collect things I like. It could be new or old. I really enjoy the shows and just looking at all the "COOL" stuff. Spent a lot of time "Window Shopping" at this years National. I am just as happy looking and talking as I am taking something home. I usually can't afford the things I really like! With that being said, I like PSA graded cards and unopened material. I was definitely excited to hear that PSA is planning on grading packs in the future! Oh, and I like autographed photos to clutter up my office!

Time to suck up a little...
Stone193 - I take a lot of your posts to heart as they are always professional.

Nice Dee Snyder by the way!!!

Welcome aboard to another impulsive collector. Read what you like and bypass the rest. Stone is as solid as his handle indicates. Regards.
Proud of my 16x20 autographed and framed collection - all signed in person. Not big on modern - I'm stuck in the past!

  • Welcome and many happy postings!! It's nice to see another person collecting what they like and not what the money/fad commands.

a few of the posts lately have gotten under my skin a little.

You must have been over on the Open Forum. It's gotten to be such a headache over there. Say the wrong opinion and they will be all over you. Consider them the red-headed stepchildren as they have the same opinion about us in the sports forums.

If you've got any decent autographs, scan and post them on the Autograph's forum as it could use some filler over there.

    Cheers !

Welcome to the boards. It is always nice having a new opinion on something. Let us know if you are collecting a certain year. I am always on the lookout on ebay and if I spot something or see something on the net I will try to PM you.

They are. But watch out for that stone193 guy. He is CEO / Chief Pimp at Pogostick Grading Services, so obviously he's got an ax to grind!
