    Dang. Didn't do link right. Anyway, it's a PSA 9 1971 Topps Munson. Looks like it deserved the grade.

    But Munson without a 'stache? I like my Munson with a raccoon on his lip. image

    Yup.
    At $480 I threw in my high bid of $2,000.......
    it lasted less than 1 hour (as I figured it would).
    This one will be fun to watch.image

    This is a '71 Munson card I don't ever remember seeing before!! Granted, I didn't collect in the '70s, just the '60s, '80s, and now, but that is one great card! I'd like to get a lesser-conditioned card just for my personal enjoyment (no comments from the grandstand, please...).

    The L/R centering looks off and the top and left sides look like they are showing chipping. I'd like to see a better scan to prove to me that this card is a 9.

    For as much as I'd love to have this card just for the holder, I am getting an 8 that looks almost as good and with far better centering.....That said, it will still reach 4K+ IMO.

    Wow. I remember seeing this card in 50ct lots when growing up as kid. Being from Boston, everybody cared about Carlton Fisk and didn't give a hoot about Munson. Man, if I had only known back then......................

    An SGC supporter being picky about centering? Stick with the edges and corners, like your favorite company.

    Wow - almost $4K now...I agree this is a classic card, and rare - but $4K?

    I would rather have an early card of Ty Cobb or Lou Gehrig. That price seems to high for an almost modern card. It also appears to have some chipping along the left border. Just my opinion.

    I was thinking the same thing.. except autographs.. ty cobb signed cheque $700ish and a babe ruth autograph $2,000ish

    edited to add..

    geese it's at $3,750.00 now.. A Gehrig autograph can be added to my list now. If it goes $500-$700 higher add on a Jackie Robinson autograph as well. image
