Late Roman Empire exergue

I have an AE3 issued under Julian (Augustus from 360-3) and the exergue is: HERACL

The only thing I can figure is that it was minted at Heraclea. Is the Heraclea mintmark ever written like this, or am I misreading some of the later letters and missing the officina, etc?

Not necessarily the most authoritative work, but according to Late Roman Bronze Coinage (LRBC) this is the correct mintmark for the bronze of Julian as Augustus from Heraclea. According to my book it should be: HERACL followed by the workshop letter with various arrangements of dots:

    1 HERCLE#
    2 HERCLE.#
    3 .HERCLE.#.

Where # represents the workshop, starting with A

Cool, thanks for the help. Unfortunately, the L is 1/2 off the flan and anything after it remains a mystery.
