Paypal question

I just sold a high dollar card(for me at least) from my Registry set. I had never accepted Paypal payments before. I received a message saying that payment was made but I still see a zero balance. When should I send out the item to the customer? When I see the money or when I see this message? How long does it take to move the money from my Paypal account to my bank account?

    Did you 'accept' the payment? Sometimes you have to go to the paypal site and actually hit the 'accpet' payment button before it gets processed. Just one possibilty.

    Did the message come from Paypal about receiving the money?......it should be there then......if message came from buyer there may be a problem. (did he actually send it?? did it get sent to the correct account?

    It takes 3-5 business day to transfer money from your paypal account to your bank account.

    I've had that happen a couple times. Each time it was because the buyer was trying to send the money to an alternate email address I have, that is not attached to my Paypal account. I had to go into Paypal and "accept" the payment.

    When you are paid by a buyer, the transaction should be instantaneous, and it should show in your account. Transfering to your bank account is another matter. That usually takes 4 or 5 business days.

    Hey Guys, Thanks for all of your input. I think the fault is at my end as I waited to register my accounts until after the auction was already over. I didn't think about a time lag or a verification of my bank account. I feel pretty sure that the money is "out there" but Paypal is waiting for my end to check out OK.
