Storage question

I am working on several 1980's Topps sets and am trying to fiugre out what size boxes to store them in. Each card will be in a sleeve so I am pretty sure the 800 count boxes will not work. Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks,
David

I am doing the same thing.

I use a 900 count box. Even then, it's pretty snug.

A 792 card set in penny sleeves? This might be a little big, but would look nice.

  • I have all of my 80s and early 90s sets in penny sleeves and divide each set into 2 550 count boxes. I include the base sets of 792 cards plus the traded sets of 132 cards, so you end up with 924 cards per set or 462 cards per box. With the sleeves on them, they fit snuggly enough to avoid moving much, but still loose enough to easily pull cards out to look at. I then have labels printed to stick on the fron of each box ... 1983 Topps Box 1, etc. This system has worked well for me.
