Hi All, seeing a few threads about these recently reminded me of a token I bout at a farmers tailgate auction years ago. And now I think I have the bug. Can someone tell me more about this one?? It's been sitting in a box of mine for a long time!

If the edge says PAYABLE AT HIS OFFICE NEWPORT then it is relatively common (though I've not seen one before). If the edge is plain then it is RR.

Engraver and Manufacturer was Mainwaring. Nice!

Hey elverno, I just looked and yes it's engraved. Does the 44 in D&H mean it's the 44th Conder Token design?

The 46 is per county I think. Dalton & Hamer issued new numbers as they moved from county to county. It would have made more sense to have a range of numbers foreach county perhaps but that's what they did...
