Private feedback

An ebay member with private feedback won one my auctions tonight. Should I be worried? Any precautions I need to be aware of? The card I sold him is an undergraded (in my eyes) T206. I am little worried about his intentions with it. I really don't want to be a party to some kind of scam. Thoughts? Here is the auction link.

  • I think that it is appropriate for prolific buyers of similar items to keep their fb private.
The seller still gets to see the buyer's numbers and make a judgement.

All of my buying accounts have had private feedback. I do not want corrupt sellers
knowing what my buying limits are on the same or similar items. I do not want my
competition knowing what I have been buying and how much I am willing to pay.

I get a HUGE amount of useful "intelligence" by researching people who are bidding
against me. Why should I give someone the same advantage over me by going
    public?

(I realize that there are other ways to get the info off of scambay, but most ordinary
bidders would not know where to start.)

Obviously, sellers have to show there fb or folks would not be inclined to buy. No
seller has ever questioned my "private" accounts. They are just happy to get the
    sale and the payment.

Also, if you use the same "non-private" account to buy and sell, your buyers can
see what you paid for the items that you are turning quickly.

It really is NONE of Sear's business what I buy from Macy's.

I worry much more when a seller hides his feedback.

People who buy adult videos and products tend to have private feedback. And people like cdchanger who has his own reasons. As long as a buyer pays his bill, I don't care if his feedback is private or what he buys on FleaBay. Other than somebody might think it's a shill.
  • Cher,

Thanks, I hadn't considered that angle.
