Onlypsahockey 62 Parkies set

I was down to three cards: #16-Bower, #19-Bassen & #53-Geoffrion.

I picked up the Bassen from Dennis Skerbe, the Bower from Sportscards Plus and the Geoffrion from AJ's.

All 3 are in the mail and Sportscards Plus is in the process of moving which may delay shipping...so I'll consider the set done when they are in my hands.

7 months to complete. Probably going to wrap my 63 Topps set next.

I guess PSA had a hard time recognizing the large 30 and 31 on the front of the Howe cards. Gawd, I hate that !

Yawie, I actually won both the Howe's from Memory Lane for under SMR. I think people stayed away from them because of the #'s not matching the flips. They'll be a free changeout as will the entry/zip card. PSA also has a problem with the checklist and zip card. Seems some zip cards came out labeled tally/checklist from PSA. I'm guessing there's less than 12 checklists in PSA 9 as stated in the pop report (my zip card is labeled tally/checklist) but we may never know.

Nice going Bob.

Seems like just yesterday that you started the set. I think I was 80% or so complete when you started. I think I'm close to 90% now needing just 5 more cards, the #1 Billy Harris being the most notable. You blew past me like I was standing still. You are certainly a man on a mission. Hopefully you will attend the fall EXPO in Toronto, It would be great to meet.

Also, regarding the 62 Parkie's, I think it will be very interesting to see if the #1 set will be unseeded this year. I think Mr Parkie's has the inside edge.

Nice job!! I am sending in 50 of the Dad's Cookies under the Tallboy special this week. I can only scrutinize these so much. They appear to be in the 8,9,10 range of PSA. I'm sure i didn't see something on a few of these. So it won't shock me if a few come back lower. I am case costing this set to see how much it take to invest and grade this set. Each card will in the notes the amount i was into for the card and grade.

Phew! It's officially done 100%. I just got the Bower in the mail today and have scanned all cards into the set. Sorry for bringing the thread back but it is my first 100% set. It's like your first B*

Side note: The SMR's went up on this set a couple months back during my build. I had already acquired the big cards so this was a nice surprise.

Awesome Bob! Congratulations on completing that gorgeous set and good job adding pictures of each card, it's nice when set registry doers go to the extra trouble of adding scans for everyone to enjoy.
