Any board members in London? I need help to catch an EBAY scam artist

This guy is trying the second chance EBAY scam on a set that I was bidding on. The scam where they send you an email about the winning bidder renegging and they will sell it to you. In this case, I know the winning bidder and he completed the sale.

The scammer is asking me to send Western Union (of course)

This is the name and address that he is giving:

Mark Fenster

23 Church Street

London, E78PQ

United Kingdom

He has not provided a phone number.

Do you have any reccommendations on how to nail this loser?

Regards,

Alan

Did the winning bidder receive his set yet? If so, does the seller have a second set available? The seller may have two sets. If not, report him for Internet Fraud.

    No...

This is a graded set (1 of 1).

    I know the winning bidder.

The scam artist merely contacted the losing bidders with the "Winning bidder renegged" message.

  • If I were you I'd report it to ebay right away.... I've had some success with this approach when dealing with unethical people.

I don't think the seller is the scammer. Also I'm guessing acowa wants to put a little more hurt to the loser than just getting an Ebay account (which is no doubt hijacked) suspended to the loser.

The seller and buyer are totally legit. Someone is pretending to be the seller here and offering a "second chance".
