NOW THIS IS HOW IT SHOULD BE DONE! PSA TAKE NOTE

My pet peeve...cards with a diamond cut but no OC qualifier. This grader had it right. Bravo! Now if we can get the rest of the cross-eyed graders to look for this we'll be in business. Text

    it'd be a straight 8 or even a 9 today.

I doubt that John Hilton has one of his own rookie cards.

edited to add: That was his only card!

Hilton was also in the 1974 and 1975 Topps sets

Ah.. If John Hilton as shown in the 73 is the same as "Dave Hilton" who is in the 74, 75 and 77(missed one), then I stand corrected.

Might be worth buying and cracking and resubmitting?
  • Seller sez he didn't notice the diamond cut!? image I saw it at the first glimpse... then again, we were told upfront that the card was a diamond cut; maybe it would have been a good candidate for "guess the grade" image

Axtell is right on the money.......this is one nice card (if you can live with the diamnd cut) and almost certainly would not draw an O/C qualifier if resubmitted. Could be a very shrewd pick up.

I checked my Schmidt Rookie and the Baseball Almanac on this one.

"John David Hilton" on the RC is the same as the "Dave Hilton" who played 3 seasons (+4 games of a 4th) for the Padres.

Looks like he was a bad hitter.
