Thoughts on selling wax wrappers and empty boxes?

I have always thought that this leads to trouble, as in noone(very, very few that is) actually buy these as collectors pieces.
Someone once said on here that they couldn't afford a 55 wax pack, but they could buy the wrapper. And that would at least give them satisfaction to have. I understand that point, however, I think the bad that could come out of it out weighs the good.
What are your thoughts?

They display well in binders and clear pouches.
Neither I nor anyone I have ever sold any of the stuff to would
even think about using them to "reload." (Remember, it is pretty
hard to do it in a way that is not fairly obvious. But, on scamnet
I guess the scans make it impossible to know until you have
already been burned.)
I suspect that the items are pretty scarce. It was only 25-years ago
that I - or anyone I know - even thought about keeping the boxes
and wrappers. I started doing it because of toy boxes that were
selling for ten-times more than the toys that came inside.

I don’t mean to derail your thread, but take trimmed cards for example. Whenever one surfaces on ebay with an honest description, scammers bid on those too… I was watching this card that ended tonight miscut mantle, in addition to the high bidder being shady as hell, most of the under-bidders were dealers, and I doubt they were adding it to their collections
No matter what you collect, the crooks will be out there.

anything that needs a qualifier is so that they can sell
them to their pals in the "cottage industry." This auction
is a "hidden message" to all scamsters. (I noted the
bidders and will not be buying anything they have to
sell...ever.)

There are quite a few empty box and wrapper collectors out there.I wouldn't worry about selling either one.You cannot control what someone does after the fact. The only thing that you might do is see what the buyer is selling and if it looks like he is rewrapping, add him to your banned bidder list.
BTW,
On the other issue, the buyer is a real pro,"card doctor, that is".I would stay away from his auctions at all costs.

Wow, the guy who won that Mantle has sold many cards. Everyone of them is PRIVATE
Sounds a little shady.
