STEROIDS! posted earlier

i posted this in another thread maybe it got lost. want to know what you guys think?

I think mlb should take a harder fall then these players. they are the people who allowed this to happen for such a long time. now they want to pass off all 100% of the blame on players when it wasnt even illegal to take them a couple years back.

canseco new book is going to attack the real people that should be at fault. i cant wait to read it. not knowing if it will be 100% true but his first book is starting to look like 100% legit.

I honestly believe trainers managers general managers and owners knew a great deal about what was going on. im willing to bet more then 80% of the players over the past decade has tried some type of steroid.

with that said and with it not being illegal. how do they look at the numbers over the last 15 years? just bc some guys got caught like RAFFY and some guys didnt yet ohh lets say like maybe BAGWELL CLEMENS SOSA PRIOR WOOD ETC.. you can name over 100 that might be suspicious at one time in there career like BRADY ANDERSON.

WHAT WE END UP WITH IS ONE BIG MESS.. That is gonna take 20 years to clean up.

I seriously doubt Brady Anderson did roids. Yeah, he hit 50 bombs one year, but it's not the first time in history that a player has gone way out of his average, only to settle back down to earth.

It's not like he did it in a contract negotating year. The only reason his name got linked to roids is because Jim Palmer ran his mouth about it, saying Brady had to have used steroids, then when he got a backlash for saying so, retracting it, going as far as saying the radio station edited his interview to make it say that. Sure.

No, there were no rules or policies in place specifically against steroids. But the rule in baseball was that ANY substance banned in the US was against the rules of baseball (found this out a couple of days ago). So even though there wasn't a specific steroid policy in place, because steroids are a felonious substance to use and have in the US, their use is banned by MLB.

I don't doubt that there were/are a great deal of players who used steroids, many on a regular basis. For people to look at Raffy and see his power numbers jump the year after Canseco arrived and not see 'hey, he's using roids!' is just not wanting to see the facts. There have to be tons and tons of players who used.

But to say that it's MLB's fault, the trainer's fault, is just wrong. The sole responsibility falls on the shoulders of the players themselves.

not to mention how bad the sh$t is about to hit the fan now that a sure first ballot HOF got nailed. How many doctors will be named now where are these players getting the drugs? it gonna get a lot uglier now. bc people are going to get pissed off. the more that get busted the more RATS are gonna show up....

and yes axtell i still do blame this on MLB the owners knew what was going on you have to be an idiot to not see it. ill bet it started way before our era, 2 guys though i can say really raised my eyebrow were canseco and lenny dykstra.

glenn braggs comes to mind also, he never did sh$t but i remember him coing to plate without sleeves and his arms were like 20 inches. and the announcers were saying look at those guns. a catcher from the ginats comes to mind also i forget his name??(anyone can help me out here he wsant a star but he was big dude lasted about 3 years).
