Additional CC Special Added by Request

Good Afternoon,

During the Luncheon at The National this year many had made requests for specific specials. Joe is implementing one of those requests this month by adding an additional special.
The additional special will be.......

Tallboy commons - No minimum quantity required -$6 each - Turnaround will vary with demand - No Star or HOF Players.
Cards excluded will be T3's, Oversized cards, Supersized cards and Autographed cards (in person signatures or issued by the manufacturer prior to 1998)

All orders must be postmarked by August 31, 2005 and you must be a Gold or Platinum Collectors Club Member to participate.

The information should be on the site by tomorrow but I wanted to give you all a heads up.

Enjoy!

Carol

Carol, that is terrific. Now with a '50's special in the near future PSA will really be getting it done!

  • Would 1971 Milk Dud Boxes be eligible for this special? Thanks

I have the perception that a majority of submitters will not submit anything unless it's a $5 special. Witness the public cry for this tall boy special as if that is what it takes to get submissions (as well as the overjoyousness of including 70/71 in last month's special and the upcoming 50s special). I know most of PSA's business is with dealers (and I assume they get a dealer special) but I wonder how much business is done at the standard rates - at least for bulk? I don't know how many people are like me who only submits if 1) the grading is free and 2) the fee is $5. I don't think I'm the only one knowing the demand for $5 specials.
  • I sometimes think that PSA would be best served to lower all of their regular prices to a low level. The more PSA cards on the market the better it is for them and us. I would send them a ton of business if the regular common grading fee was $4-5. Even if they lowered the max value to $200 or whatever. Right now it is just not worth it to send in the more modern cards from the middle to late 70's and beyond with very few exceptions.
