Additional CC Special Added by Request

Good Afternoon,

During the Luncheon at The National this year many had made requests for specific specials. Joe is implementing one of those requests this month by adding an additional special.
The additional special will be.......

Tallboy commons - No minimum quantity required -$6 each - Turnaround will vary with demand - No Star or HOF Players.
Cards excluded will be T3's, Oversized cards, Supersized cards and Autographed cards (in person signatures or issued by the manufacturer prior to 1998)

All orders must be postmarked by August 31, 2005 and you must be a Gold or Platinum Collectors Club Member to participate.

The information should be on the site by tomorrow but I wanted to give you all a heads up.

Enjoy!

Carol

what exactly is a tall-boy, if not an oversized card?..

    is it 1970 basketball-style versus 1984 donruss action all-stars?

I know the 1965 fb and 1969 and 1970 bkb are all tall boys. I think those 84's are oversized, and so are the 1976 bkb and 1964 Giants.

Would an Elite Throwback threads or back to back jacks or face to face be considered oversized since they are thicker cards, or is it the other dimensions that makes it over sized????

Not so sure 1964 Topps Giants isn't included in this special. Carol, some clarification please?

  • My understanding would be any card that would fit in a 65 FB or 70 Basketball holder as opposed to a Hires root beer with tab, 51 Redback panel or even an Icee Bear, but a clarification would be nice.......
  • Berk Ross panels fit in a tallboy. Would they be good also as part of the special?

I'm assuming Red Mans and T202s fit into the Tall Boy category.
  • To fit in the tall boy holder the card can not exceed 3 ½ x 5 ½. Generally, oversized cards would be up to 4 x 7 ½ which then fit into our ticket holders. Supersized cards such as a T3 would be in the T3 holder.
If you are still unsure, based on the measurements given above, please contact customer service.
