Hello all, I have enjoyed reading these forums so much I thought I would join. My name is R.J. and I have been collecting baseball cards since 1987. I have only been involved in graded cards for about a year or so, but I must say that is what I am focusing on right now. Mostly vintage cards. Card collecting is more than a hobby for me, its a passion. I collect for me. I dont sell or trade any cards, but I sure like adding to my collection. I buy alot of graded cards on ebay, but for the purpose of my collection, I would settle for a PSA 7 over an 8 or 9 if it meant saving a few hundred dollars(not that I would not buy a 9). Anyhow, I look forward to talking with everyone and getting advice from people who share the same love for collecting as I do. Happy Collecting!!!

Welcome to the fun house - what do you collect?

Welcome! I am pretty new myself but I love this forum! Lots of nice people here, willing to help and give very useful opinions. You also might like the Vintage 54 Forum not affliated with this forum if you collect vintage. Focus there is 99% pre-war. Some might bash me here for this but I think both forums are fantastic and both have great people. 54 isn't as loose and funny as it is here, but it is very interesting and close knit. Looking forward to your input!

Are you working on Player,Company, just BoSox?
Glad to see you taking the plunge and sharing your thoughts here. I'm a newbie to these boards, too, and have learned a lot about the right way to collect sports cards, etc. in a couple short months. I've saved myself some big bucks and disappointments by taking the advice of some knowledgeable old vets here.
Hope to learn more about you soon!

You are amongst good company here and a ton of knowledge. Some of the guys know a lot about a little, some know a little about a lot, and there are a few that know a lot about a lot. That being said no matter what you collect, your questions will be in good hands as there is someone here that has likely encountered what you are pondering. And the best part is you can add your two cents and make this a richer place!
