I never said he was. re read my post

not a mention of homers........

He didn't hit 30+ home runs until his 8th year in the league (37) which he followed up with 23,

first off his first yr shant be counted, as he was most prolly a late season call up, to call that a yr is ludicrous. the 2nd was a half yr. and as for follwed up with 23. you conveniently left out that it was the STRIKE yr when almost 1/3 of the season was wiped out. Now if it is later proved that he was indeed on the juice , well then perhaps my opinion of him will change. with that said,. you will never convince me that Palmiero is not hall worthy and bound.

I will call a spade a spade. Axtell was suggesting something to the effect that you are a professed Palmeiro supporter no matter what, but I recall the post you made about Palmeiro. It was a qualified support. Heck, if I ever found out Thomas or Mattingly took steroids, my opinion of them would be altered too.

Don't worry about what some people say. I know your opinion of Palmeiro. The fact he has been suspended for steroids does taint what you think of him now, despite having been an ardent supporter of him in the recent past. Granted, not all the facts are out yet, but this does not look good for Palmeiro.

No Giest all i was ever saying in my debates with regard to palmiero was that he had the stats to be in the HOF. no more no less. i sure as hell never defended him with regards to steroids . At most i took him for his word.

What WP, your hero turned out to be a cheat, and now you have mud on your face? Sucks huh? Why don't you just fess up? Better yet, act like what's his name who was the staunchest Bonds supporter who SWORE he never took roids - he disappeared the day Bonds' BALCO testimony came out he used roids.
