At the Heritage ANA auction, this coin in PCGS PR68DCAM sold for $7,475 with the juice. Market is recovering from $6k level of earlier this year. If you want this coin a second example in PR68DCAM is available at $7,187 from Heitage after auction sale. No question more proof set coins are being slabbed and this caused a dip in prices for awhile. I still believe less than 200 exist and long term this has got to be a winner in a PCGS or NGC slab. for the first time. This happens to most of the sets after they get a little older
and will result in wholesale destruction of dealer accumulation of sets. This
can be a very substantial quantity in some cases.
Perhaps owners who didn't even know they had these found a few in their in-
ventories which caused a brief excess in demand.
The 69DCAM went for $14,950!
