Is David Lawrence Rare Coins the real deal?
Hi guys, due to Teletrades price increase I am looking around at other sites that have auctions etc--Does anyone have experience with DLRC and in particular there web site. I live in an area with few coin stores and tend to do my shopping for coins online. Any info is appreciated and also thanks for the help with JJ Teaparty yesterday. Don/mademan

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.
The ONLY negative I have experienced was the ONE time I went to use there auction. I found that on that night, the servers were over loaded and I could never get through to make a bid about 30 min. prior to the auction closing. I do not know if this is “normal” due to their popularity or if they had a tech problem.

Excellent people to deal with. Their no hassle return policy is exactly what they claim it is. I really like the DLRC website. I've never had any problems with them. DLRC service is definitely fast and friendly

Now I have to go see what's new at DLRC....
The auctions they offer do have buyers fees associated with them but they differ from auction to auction. You'll just have to read the specific auction details.
They also have a lot of "Make an Offer" coins which I have taken advantage of in the past. Picked up a great Peace 34-S that way and saved a few hundred bucks!
I would highly recommend DLRC!

If your concern is the buyer's fee, DLRC charges 15%, which is more than Teletrade's new 12%.

As for material, mostly retail however, somewhat discounted. Also (IMHO), some coins are PQ while others are "so-so."
Customer Service- again A+++++
I would not hesitate to deal with DLRC anytime. They are very up front and what you see is what you get.
Just be sure that what you buy and pay for is in line with coins of that caliber, whatever caliber that may be.
In the event of a return they are personable and easy to deal with.
John (Feigenbaughm) is always readily accessable as well. (Overall grade- Above average by a long shot)

Ordered a 93cc MS64 from them. The credit card I used had never bin used for coins so the credit card company shut down the transaction. DLRC contacted me the next day and other payment plans were made.
Top notch!

I've dealt with them before and they seem to be decent to deal with. I overbid on a coin and they were willing to reduce the bid with no problem. They lowered it to the reserve price so we both got what we wanted.
