Had the pleasure of growing up in Milwaukee and watching him play. I don't collect OPC but I would have bid on that one just to have it.
    A real beauty!

Nice pickup. Coop was very underrated. He was one of many tough bats in the red sox lineup before going to milwaukee. I always felt he was cheated out of an MVP (and some overdue recognition) one season when his numbers were better than yount's. I may be biased, but his was the first autograph I ever got - along with Luis Tiant on a scorecard in 1974.

Yes, Boston had some underrated bats over the years:

...Jim Rice, Fred Lynn & Cecil Cooper to name a few

Nice pickup, did OPC have an issue with rough cuts back than? This one does not seem to have that issue.

I've got a few OPC cards (68 Mays, 69 Bench, 72 Mays and Bench, etc) and most of them do not have rough cuts. These are graded 7-9 and all look great with none of the rough edges associated with OPC.
