Most of my searches are coming up really dry.
Im guessing that everyone its at the National, I wonder if there will be good deals in the next days or will the lack of supply of cards on the bay make people jumpy and bid higher.
Does anyone have any news of whats going on so far?

Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's
I decided not to go this year just because I remember those thoughts after I made the sweep of the whole floor. After I've seen it all, it's like, that was it? What was I thinkin?
<< <i>This seems to be the case every year. Ya get all excited, taking the time off, driving (flying) to the national, your expectations get really high, then you start walking around looking at all the eye candy, you look at all the prices, and you realize (price-wise) you're better off in front of a monitor.

Earlier this year, I had planned on going but then I remembered comments like this that was made last year and then changed my mind.
It's been probably 10 years since I've broken any quality wax at a card show here in So Cal. I'd like to see the BBCexchange in person and scour the show for some nice packs.
By next year, I'll probably be working on some sets in the registry. Those will be fun to hunt for.
Thats why , even though I had a kidney stone attack, Atlantic City was my favorite. There was the live auction that was great, and well the casinos, beach, and other things to do. Cleveland is a morgue and Chicago is OK but its still 30min to downtown. I really dont know why they dont like NYC or AC.
2006 - Anaheim, CA - Anaheim Convention Center
2007 - Cleveland, OH - I-X Center
2008 - Anaheim, CA - Anaheim Convention Center

Hmnnn! add last year in Cleveland and Chicago currently.
Thats just 3 diff locations in a 6 year span!
Don't get me wrong, all 3 locations are great. But there must be other places that could do the National proud.
Vegas could handle a show of that size easily, every airport in the country seems to fly into Vegas and there is enough hotels to house some countries.
Why isn't it considered? ...jay

While Miami could get a little expensive, with hotels and car rentals, Orlando FL would be ideal.
Lots of stuff to do, great weather, super cheap hotels even the nice ones never run more than 150-200 a night.
It could be a great family trip for a lot of people.

exactly what i thought today
If there is one place to hold the national - it would be Vegas baby!
A weekend of cards and cards? What more could you ask for? Texas holdem all nite, sports cards all day. Geez, the thought of that just makes me break out in sweats.
Yeah, chicago and cleveland and anaheim are ok, but c'mon...Vegas would be sweet!
