1st Team All-Star / 2nd Team All-Star Question..

Through a players career if he has been a first team all-star say 3 times and a second team all-star 2 times is it proper to say that this player is a 5 x all-star? or is it proper to say 3 x all-star?

    Knuckles,
If it's baseball, they would be a five-time all star...

Knuckles, I assume you're talking about hockey? To me referring to a player as a 5-Time All Star means he played in 5 All Star Games (voted on by the fans), and not elected to the post season 1st or 2nd team all star positions.

That's what I thought.. just thought it was strange that the people that made this listed 5 x All-Star when he's played in 6. One being on the 2nd team, got me thinking that maybe they don't acknowledge 2nd team selections for statistics..

(I'm making a Ken Dryden signature cut card at the moment and am not sure whether to put 5x or 6x, I'm leaning towards 6x)

    First All-Star Team Goalie (1973, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979)
    Second All-Star Team Goalie (1972)
