Not really taking into consideration value (although, they are all expensive), which Mantle (year) is your favorite?

followed closely by 1961.
I have no 1951-1954 Topps or Bowman cards, but, if I did, it would probably be the '53 Topps.

I second the motion. This belongs to another board member now, but I graded it and I still enjoy looking at the scan.
Mom saved all our stuff as kids - she's a pack rat like me - not sure if this was mine or my brother's - I'm voting for him - I'm so much better at preserving things!
We were really hard on cards. Not one Nm in the bunch!

edit: BTW, this is the ONLY Mantle to survive childhood in our house.

Great thread.
I'm partial to the 1953 Topps.......
followed by the 1953 Bowman Color and 1952 Topps.

My original...probably a PSA9 (I sleeved immediately) was "autographed" by my 3 year old sister (I was 9 and her scars are hardly visible now)
I am partial to the 52 Bowman, 53 Topps and the 53 Bowman in that order. i own 2 of the 3. The 53 Topps is a sweet card though.

If I was selling a Mantle rookie, I would work a little harder NOT to make it look like a cheesy scam.
Not sure if this one actually is, but I note that his previous selling experience consists of three 2004 cards. That plus the blaring multi-colored sales pitch would make me very, very cautious.

I, too, agree that 1960 is butt ugly.

Not mine, just find them very cool.
