Sovereigns and 20 franc prices?

Anyone have the prices for unc. 1899, 1915, 1918, and 1967 sovereigns. Also, what is the price for a unc. 1935 swiss 20 francs? I have a 4 ducat in unc condition that is dated 1915, which I guess is a restrike. Any help would be appreciated. -Dan

  • I used to equate them to about the same as a Half Eagle, but after checking they (sovereigns) are in the $115-$200 range with good UNC examples readly available for $150+

The Swiss 20 francs can be had for about $75 easy enough.

I am buying this small collection from a friend. I want to be fair with what I offer him without paying too much, but I also want to be able to make a little on the coins if I should ever want to trade or sell for other coins. Is it reasonable to assume that the gold coins are worth the gold content only or is there a small premium over and above the gold content? -Dan

It depends on the coins - for some there is a premium, for others there is not.
