Let's see scrap silver is $5.10 per dollar so that makes this coin about $2.55 and to account for shipping it's worth 2 bucks. Sell it at a coin shop IMO.

ttown, the 1955 franklin half dollar has the lowest mintage of business strikes out of all the franklin half dollars. It is worth around 10 dollars. One sold on e-bay in the same condition for 12.59.

if you happen to have any silver scrap, aka 1955 franklin half dollars, i'll save you the hassle of going to a coin shop and take it off your back for 3 bucks! image

Ok what ever I still get them in scrap every once in awhile....BTW I collect Franklins and have a quite a few, not too many real collectors would even consider a Fine in a series like the Franklin. It's a hard sell on an AU. It's over looked series and cheap, go to a coin shop and be surprisedimage

The Red Book doesn't mean squat on these coins or most common date in any series and only rookies would buy them. No disrespect JMO.

I'm pretty sure that it's the 1953 that has the lowest business strike mintage..
