Topps Gallery...Need some insite

I stumbled across an auction for a 2001 Topps Gallery Willie Mays and thought it was a sweet card. I started to do a little research and I think I am going to endeavor one of these sets.

I am looking for opinions on which year any of you like and if there is a lot of a paritcular year of unopened material still out there.

The appeal of this set is the artwork so if any of the sets are photos I am not going to choose those.

I have never really gotten into modern and I tried with the Fan Favorites but I lost interest with that.

Please let me know any info or opinions that any of you have about Topps Gallery.
