My first sucessful ms-67 cross, but what is DNC

After a lot of trying I have got one coin (washington Quarter) to cross at MS-67, that is exciting to me. I even asked for only that grade, maybe I am getting better at grading! But three others got a DNC, what is that? Is it "Did not Cross" If so why not, I only asked to cross the coins not for any certain grade, they were in other holders so what gives??

  • If you indicated "cross at any grade" and they did not cross, that indicates one of two possibilities:

    1) PCGS goofed up

    or

    2) The coins would have gotten bodybagged if submitted raw

If you specified nothing in the minimum grade space, then they will only cross at the current grade. If you want cross at any grade you have to write "cross at any grade" on the submission form.

  • I just learned that if you leave the Min Grade col. open PCGS will only cross at the grade of the holder. I sure wasted some money here! Thanks for all the help. Maybe I should read the fine print next time. So much for I think I know
