Paypal Scam?

I just received an email that appears to be from Paypal advising me that a new email address has been added to my Paypal account. There is a link to Paypal advising that if I didnt authorize this that I should sign on to my Paypal account. I didnt authorize a new email account but am not sure if I should use the link provided. Has anybody else had this happen to them? Thanks.

  • It's more than likely a scam. Don't use the link in the email. Go directly to the Paypal site and check your account.

I would go to paypal directly(not by clicking the link), log in and go under your account to see the e-mail addresses. It is likely a spoof to try and get you to log in on the spoof site.

All you have to do is look at the salutation. If it doesn't address you by your full name--it is always a scam.
I collect Vintage Cards, Commemorative Sets, and way too many vintage and modern player collections in Baseball (180 players), Football (175 players), and Basketball (87 players). Also have a Dallas Cowboy team collection.

Thanks for all of your quick help. The email was fake as it did not address me by name at all. I have been a member on PSA for a while and usually find answers just by watching the posts by other members. Thanks again.
