calling Coin ID experts... a strange one...

I posted this on the US forum as well (cuz to me this piece looks like a 1776 New Hampshire pine tree copper). But what doesn't add up is that it's only US nickel size in diameter and has the thickness of an ancient roman bronze coin as opposed to a milled copper coin. Anyway, wish i could post a larger pix but when i did, this site wouldn't seem to take it.
